The Polycom SoundStation IP 7000 PoE - Conference VoIP phone - SIP might be mistaken for an intergalactic criminal at certain times of the day. We didn’t know this until a few weeks ago, but there is a planet out there which is entirely populated by sentient creatures that closely resemble the Polycom VoIP phone. One of them is on the loose across the galaxy, running around like Billy the Kid, robbing space banks and planetary convenience stores and that kind of thing. The interstellar police squad came by our office because they thought they located this particular outlaw from the stars, but then they found out that we just had the Polycom SoundStation IP 7000 PoE - Conference VoIP phone instead, which is not sentient and does not know how to do a hold up, nor is it very interested in learning how anyway. (It’s only a conference phone so it doesn’t have complex thoughts like that. At least, that’s what we think.)
So after we set the interstellar police officers at ease, of course we tried to sell them one. I mean, how can we pass up an opportunity like that? They could use it instead of that artist rendering sketch to show other planets what its criminal doppelganger looks like. Maybe the could even use it in their office too. It’s a very solid conference phone delivers outstanding performance and robust capabilities for organizations operating on SIP-based VoIP platforms. It works well in boardrooms, conference rooms, auditoriums and executive offices - and, hopefully, space stations. We guess we’ll find out soon enough.
