The Cisco AIR-BR1310G-A-K9 Aironet 1310 Outdoor Wireless Bridge Access Point is a dark avenger. It supplies you with high-speed wireless connectivity between multiple fixed or mobile networks by day, then it fights crime by night. It’s not that building a metropolitan-area wireless infrastructure isn’t a big enough duty for this ambitious little access point, it’s just that the night needs its own vigilante crusader sometimes. We’ve seen what lurks in the night…and it doesn’t support supports the 802.11g standard. So we’re glad the Cisco Aironet 1310 is out there, keeping its eye out for us.
The Cisco Aironet 1300 Series is capable of being deployed as part of the Cisco Unified Wireless Network (if you’re into that kind of thing). It also has an uncharacteristic gravelly voice on occasion, but mainly when it’s dressed up in its night crusader outfit which might resemble a flying squirrel. Because it can function with or without the Cisco Unified Wireless Network or as a bridge and access point, the Cisco Aironet 1300 is the quintessential end-to-end wired and wireless network solution. It’s super friends are the Lightweight Access Point Protocol (LWAPP) the Cisco wireless LAN controller twins and the Wireless Control System (WCS).
Other than that, the Cisco AIR-BR1310G-A-K9 Aironet 1300 delivers an integrated wired and wireless network that’s tough to beat. It’s secure, scalable, reliable, and it knows kung fu. It’s also great at adapting itself to any outdoor locale, thanks to its sleek yet innocuous design. We think that’s how it sneaks up on unsuspecting criminals in dark alleyways so gosh darn easily.
